SCATTO DEL PARDO (LOCARNO FILM FESTIVAL - WINNER - 2015)
Photohrapher Mickael Chavet is the Winner of the 2015 edition of the photo contest "Scatto del Pardo", organized by the Centro Pax and Foto Garbani Association for the professional photographers who covered the Locarno Film Festival.
TOKYO INTERNATIONAL FOTO AWARDS (FASHION CATEGORY - HONORABLE MENTION - 2021) (SPORTS CATEGORY - HONORABLE MENTION - 2021)
The Tokyo International Foto Awards acknowledges, commends, and promotes outstanding photography from all corners of the globe. TIFA connects photographers with the creative community in Tokyo, Japan, to provide them with an excellent platform to present their work to a new market.
In 2021, two of Mickael Chavet three entries have made it through to the Official Selection, entering the last round of voting. One is a photo of Daria Bilodid titled Time to Shine which is part of the Official selection for the Events - Sport category and eventually won Mickael Chavet an Honorable Mention while the other is titled Blue Velvet and is part of the Official Selection for the Advertising - Fashion category and also won Mickael Chavet an Honorable Mention in this category.
BIKE MAGAZINE PHOTO CONTEST (OFF-ROAD CATEGORY - WINNER - 2022)
BIKE Magazine is a worldwide publication from London (United Kingdom) dedicated to showcasing the best of the cycling world. From leisure, touring, product reviews and more, Bike Magazine pride themselves in their ability to show their readers just how vast the world of cycling is, and the incredible talent of those in the cycling community.
The BIKE Photography Contest is something that embodies these values. It allows anyone to show their love for cycling, while incorporating a medium that allows for infinite creativity and a showcase of talent. “The work that has been submitted for this year’s competition is vast and beautiful, with themes ranging from futurism to commuting to pro cycling, from locations all over the world” said lead judge Karoly Nagy.
With 14 categories and work being sent from both professional and amateur photographers, Bike Magazine Photo Contest team has worked tirelessly to make their judgment fair, judging works not only on photography merits but the message behind these as well.
Last October, following advice from his PR agent, Photographer Mickael Chavet entered the Off-Road Category of the BIKE Magazine Photo Contest 2022 with a photograph I made at the BMX Arena in Verona and that I particularly loved. Sports and Olympic Photographer Mickael Chavet had the privilege to cover the rescheduled Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in Japan during the summer 2021. With the myriad of excellence, from top athletes to the best sports photographers out there, it is for every participating photographers a very own Olympic games to create imagery that stand out to be remembered. During these Games, Mickael Chavet has pursued creating images that are both the essence of the Olympics while being unique on their own, different from what has already been seen at the same time. The International Photography Awards recognized the "Inside the Rings” picture by Mickael Chavet as a Decisive Moment of Table Tennis at the Olympics, with the ball perfectly inside one of the Olympic ring.
